After reading a piece about Richard Branson tweeting, blogging and using social media to his advantage, we decided we wanted to know more.

Throwing caution and quill pens to the wind, we brought in an expert de-bunker in the form of Chris Hutchinson from Aardvark Marketing Consultants Ltd.

Chris will cover:

• A guide to websites
• Social media/networking
• E-mail marketing

The aim is to give a simple understanding of what is possible, how to decide if it is right for the business, how to go about it and what it might cost.

As usual, a two-course meal will follow to focus attention on more earthly matters.

Castle House Hotel Posh Supper

Wednesday, 22nd February 2012, 6 for 6.30pm.

We have run this event before and it always goes down well with our business development club, so we’re running it again. As before we’ve only got 20 places, but this time we’ve got no business excuse for the event (to justify the tax relief). ‘Networking’ was the best we could come up with, and this is indeed an excellent opportunity to meet other local business owners in a convivial environment.

Claire, the chef of The Castle House Hotel, has been briefed to create something different (special?) for us and the price is fixed at £35 per head accordingly.

For 2012 we have decided to let Bob have her way and indulge us with an evening at the fabulous local vineyard.

We will enjoy a talk as we take a tour of the vineyard, sample the local wine and then sit down to a delightful evening meal.

Networking is optional.
